Thornton Heights Commons

The proposed Thornton Heights Commons at 611 Main Street is a mixed-use project consisting of 25 one-bedroom, 10 two-bedroom, and 7 three-bedroom apartments above first floor commercial/retail space that fronts on Main Street. As an active mixed-use project that is part of Main Street, the project will feature projecting architectural bays on the upper floors, ground floor commercial space, and community space both inside and outside for residents and visitors. High performance features include a high efficiency gas boiler system, triple glazed windows, cross-laminated timber (CLT) components, and a roof-top photovoltaic array that will provide on-site renewable energy. An existing church on the site (St. John the Evangelist) will be removed as part of the project. Granite elements of the existing church will be re-used to mark the historical significance of the existing church to the community. Additional single family residential lots will be created from the property to allow for future development and neighborhood context and scale.
