Siena College, Marcelle Athletic Center
CHA completed the master plan, design and construction administration services for the comprehensive renovation and additions to athletic and recreation facilities at Siena College. The primary focus was to bring the facilities up to date for Division I expectations for athlete training and competition and create a full-service campus recreation center. The 190,000 square foot Marcelle Athletic Complex was completely renovated in multiple phases, ultimately presenting a striking and welcoming new image to the campus.
All athletic team needs were addressed through a relocated and vastly expanded strength and conditioning suite, a new 2,750 square foot state-of-the-art sports medicine suite and improved dedicated team locker rooms for each sport. CHA also examined the recreational needs and demands of the college and provided cost-effective, high impact changes that enhance the general student and faculty experience, developing an eSports center and large fitness center adjacent to the refurbished natatorium and general use 3-court gymnasium.
