NYSOPRHP, Rockland Lake North Pool
CHA performed the evaluation and design of improvements to this outdoor aquatic facility. The plans included the construction of a new reinforced concrete pool shell (floor and walls), a new water circulation and filtration system, new water chemical and disinfection systems, new water make-up systems, and pool deck improvements. The Kiddie pool was replaced with a modern 3,000-square-foot interactive sprayground and a new water slide structure, including two gel-coated fiberglass serpentine slide flumes starting from a 24-foot slide tower. Additional site amenities included new bench seating, new shade structures, and various improvements offering a fully modernized aquatic venue. CHA also worked closely with the New York State Department of Health to receive the required approval to construct the project.
