MYR Apron Taxiway & Ramp I Runway 18-36 Rehabilitation
As part of a three-year continuing engineering and planning consulting services contract with Horry County Department of Airports, CHA provided planning, design and construction phase services for the rehabilitation of Runway 18- 36 and the construction of a new taxiway/taxilane and apron.
The project definition includes aeronautical survey, topographic and obstruction survey, geotechnical investigation, instrument approach and NAVAIDS preliminaries design, airport layout plan (ALP) update, environmental assessment, and preliminary design and engineering.
In order to keep the airport fully functional during construction, we provided a series of alternatives that took into account the FAA’s ability of providing roughly $10 million per fiscal year to fund the project.
