Manhattan Psychiatric Center Security Systems
The Manhattan Psychiatric Center’s Buildings 102 and 106 had their basements, first floors and second floors renovated. Building 102’s “Side A” floors 3, 4, 15, and 16 also received a full renovation. CHA designed a new unified security system for Building 102’s renovated floors and the relocated Kirby Forensic Facility.
The new security features include the following systems:
- CCTV
- Access Control/Facility Monitoring
- Intrusion Detection
- Intercom and Public Address
- Personnel Alarm
The design adhered to OGS Standards, International Building Code 2010, and the New York State Office of Mental Health Statewide Physical Security Standards for Adult and Forensic Facilities.
