Iroquois Falls Combined Cycle Cogeneration Plant

This project constructed a new 75 MW nominal (110 MW maximum) cogeneration plant that supplies electrical power to the Ontario power grid and provides steam to the local pulp mill. The plant includes two natural gas-fired GE LM6000 gas turbine generator packages, two dual-pressure heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and one automatic extraction condensing steam turbine generator.

As independent engineer for the project, CHA Canada's primary role was monitoring the contractor's performance and subsequent payment certification. In addition, we also provided field engineering and some design review services to the client. Prior to being appointed independent engineer, we had prepared the technical specifications used to obtain the bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract.
