Industrial CO2 Control
CHA provided design and construction management services to upgrade an industrial client’s high-volume CO2 system. Improvements were completed to improve site safety and prevent possible system leaks and other process discharges from potentially exceeding OSHA permit guidelines.
The new system provides an exhaust mechanism for excess CO2 which increases plant energy efficiency and improves air quality through fresh and intake monitoring and control. The installed system includes a new 10,000 cfm rooftop unit, five exhaust fans, upgrades to existing air handlers, and associated duct work. A PCL-based controls system monitors temperature, humidity and CO2 levels, and adjusts fresh air intake volume.
