Golden Glades Multimodal Transportation Facility

The Golden Glades Multimodal Transportation Facility (GGMTF) is the result of a transformative upgrade of the Golden Glades Park & Ride Center. Located in north Miami-Dade County, the state-of-the-art Golden Glades facility caters to the pressing connectivity needs of commuters, providing them with a secure and efficient transportation hub accommodating a diverse range of transportation modes.

CHA and LEAD Engineering Contractors collaborated on this significant design-build initiative. The GGMTF represents the flagship project in a series of infrastructure enhancements poised to revitalize the form and function of the entire Golden Glades Interchange. This comprehensive upgrade included the addition of 14 saw tooth bus bays, four intercity bus bays, air-conditioned waiting areas, covered walkways, a new six-level parking garage, bicycle storage facilities, bicycle repair stations, landscaping, and public restrooms. A new pedestrian bridge connects the site to Tri-Rail facilities, electric vehicle charging stations, kiss-and-ride areas, and transportation network carriers such as Uber or Lyft.

The GGMTF incorporates seven technology systems, enhancing connectivity, safety and security. These include ticket vending machines, bus transit information system, CCTV surveillance system, emergency phones/call boxes, advanced parking management system, security access card entry, and wi-fi system.
