Carver Central Fire Station and Training Facility
CHA provided owner's project management (OPM) services for design and construction of a new 21,830-square-foot fire station and training facility. Features include five double-deep drive-thru apparatus bays; operation support areas, including turnout gear, SCBA, and decon; a training room; a dispatch center; living and sleeping quarters; and administrative offices.
The three-story training building is a special annex added to the north side. The building is 72-feet by 22-feet and complete with two burn rooms, a chimney fire burn prop, and an attic fire prop. The building has a two-story stand pipe system, small sprinkler system, two roof ventilation/cutting props, and a chimney fire roof prop.
The Carver Fire Station and Training Facility received the Firehouse Magazine 2017 Gold Station Design Award for Best Volunteer/Combination Fire Station.
