Bayfront Urban Redevelopment Master Plan

Bayfront is a transformative opportunity for Jersey City, reimagining industrial and municipal spaces into a pedestrian-friendly urban neighborhood. Envisioned as an affordable, transit-centered community, it will feature residential units, retail spaces, a school, and a firehouse. Three new parks, including Riverfront Park, will enhance connectivity in Bayfront and the city.

CHA supported site engineering to transform 100 acres on Jersey City's west side into an environmentally conscious, walkable community. Waterfront access, businesses, attractive housing, mass transit connectivity, pathways, and parks are envisioned. The plan prioritizes affordability, local employment, and sustainability to maximize benefits for Jersey City and its residents.

As the Tri-State area's largest mixed-income development, Bayfront is set to revitalize the Hackensack Riverfront and usher in a renaissance for the West Side. This visionary initiative—a model for urban revitalization—promises to transform urban spaces, drive economic growth, and foster sustainable development.
