Adelphi Hotel Renovation

The Adelphi Hotel, located in the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs, New York, was built in 1877 during the hospitality boom the city experienced due to the opening of the now-famous thoroughbred horse track.

In 2012, the building was purchased for $4.5 million by NYC developers Richbell Capital LLC. The building had become run down during the previous owner’s stewardship, requiring a $5 million facelift to restore it to its former glory. Richbell Capital purchased property behind the Adelphi to add a 275-seat banquet hall and spa and increase the room count to create a business plan supporting the expensive renovation. The building re-opened in October 2017 and has been recognized in the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler’s 2018 Hot List, an exclusive selection of the world’s best new hotels. CHA provided civil/site, landscape architecture, traffic, permitting, and project management services.
