Onondaga County Parks Receives Excellence in Landscape Design and Environmental Leadership Award

Outdoor classrooms, natural trail head seating, and innovative green infrastructure allow the Onondaga County Beaver Lake Nature Center to foster local and global stewardship of nature through diverse recreational and educational opportunities that enhance visitors' awareness, appreciation, and understanding of the natural world. Thank you to our CHA team, Chris Mullin, Amy Franco, Paul Yarnell, Kristy Harris and Laura Cassalia, in assisting in the Beaver Lake Nature Center in achieving their mission.

The New York State Recreation & Park Society recognizes parks throughout the state for their Environmental Leadership, Excellence in Landscape Design, and much more. The Onondaga County Parks received the Excellence in Landscape Design and Environmental Leadership Award in 2015 for the Beaver Lake Nature Center. They will be entered into the statewide competition for 2016!
