Michael Sullivan, PE, Principal Engineer and Sr. Project Manager with the Transportation-Bridge Team, has been named to ENR New England’s 2023 list of Top Young Professionals. The list includes design and construction leaders from across the region, which includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. ENR’s Top Young Professionals program honors “individuals who have built extraordinary industry portfolios in just a few short years. In addition, many donate significant amounts of time and expertise to serve their communities.”

Michael is active in the Boston Society of Civil Engineers (BSCES), the oldest engineering association in the United States. He was a BSCES Legislative Fellow, educating and providing engineering advice to legislators. Currently, he serves as the editor of the society’s newsletter, BSCESNews, which relays information on the latest news, issues, and trends to BSCES members. In addition to producing articles for the newsletter, he has launched a column that explores some of New England’s historic infrastructure, such as the region’s bridges, dams, canals, forts, and buildings. Michael is also a member of the National Steel Bridge Alliance, an American Institute of Steel Construction division that advocates for steel bridge design and construction, and serves on the Bridge Task Force 9 Bearings Committee.

Michael was featured, along with his fellow recipients, in the March 2023 edition of ENR New England. Read the full article online here.
