CHA's Terry Rainer takes home "Person Of The Year" Award at the Aviation Association of Indiana Annual Conference

Posted November 11, 2015

Terry Rainier, CHA’s Senior Principal Engineer, was awarded ‘Person of the Year’ at the Aviation Association of Indiana’s (AAI) 2015 Annual Conference. The award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary support of the AAI’s goals and have exhibited professional excellence.

Over his 30 plus year career, Terry has cultivated professional relationships at airports across the country, including close professional relationships with dozens of Indiana airports. Terry joined RW Armstrong in 1976 as one of three full-time personnel comprising the Airports Team. Through the 1980s, he was a project manager for the firm’s civil and electrical airport design projects. He served as Director of Airports Design in the 1990s, and he was later appointed Director of Airports in 1998 through 2009.

Following RW Armstrong’s merge with CHA in 2012, Terry was appointed CHA’s Aviation Quality Officer. He continued to excel as an industry leader through his orchestration of the firm’s Quality Focused Management process, integrating management, design, quality control, and communication.

Terry remains active in the planning, design, value engineering, services development, and strategic planning for the company’s more than 100 airport clients.
