CHA Gives "Green" Gift of Trees

Posted January 4, 2023

In honor of its 70th Anniversary, CHA and its staff donated more than 2,200 trees through a partnership with One Tree Planted. This commitment supporting reforestation represents one tree for each CHA employee and includes generous individual donations from our staff, strengthening our commitment to sustainability and a greener, brighter world.

CHA staff chose these planting locations for the donated trees:

  • 2,004 trees planted where they’re needed most
  • 100 trees planted for biodiversity
  • 58 trees planted for forest fire recovery
  • 54 trees planted in the Appalachia
  • 31 trees planted in national forests
  • 20 trees planted in Florida
  • 2 trees planted in Ontario

This “green” gift – spread across diverse landscapes, geographic locations, and areas that most need them – represents a special way for us to fulfill our aspiration to responsibly improve the world we live in.
