CHA Engineers Earn Professional Licenses

Congratulations to the following CHA engineers who earlier this year earned their Professional Engineering (PE) licenses or P.Eng., the Canadian equivalent to PE! The PE designation is awarded to candidates that have earned an engineering degree from an accredited four-year program, passed the fundamentals of engineering exam, acquired four years of engineering experience, and passed a principles and practice of engineering exam.

Benjamin Ankrom, PE

Columbus, OH – Ben obtained his PE license in the state of Ohio. He joined CHA in 2013 and was recently promoted to Assistant Project Engineer III in the firm’s Highways Technical Group. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Ohio Northern University.

Tyler Bicknell, PE

Knoxville, TN – Tyler obtained his PE license in the state of Tennessee. He joined the CHA more than five years ago and was recently promoted to Assistant Project Engineer III in CHA’s Aviation Services Department.

Jessica Bull, PE

Rochester, NY – Jessica is a Project Engineer IV in CHA’s Mechanical and Energy Department. She was recently promoted to her current role, working from the firm’s Rochester office. Since joining CHA in 2013, she has primarily focused on energy efficiency programs. She received her B.S. and M.E. in mechanical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Paul Byrd, PE

Colonie, NY – Paul obtained his PE license in the state of New York. He is an Assistant Project Engineer III in CHA’s General Structures Department. Paul joined CHA in 2017 with a decade of structural engineering experience and specializes in the design and construction administration of small to mid-level structures. He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Clarkson University.

Amy Corcoran, PE

Rochester, NY – Amy obtained her PE license in the state of New York. She specializes in site layout and utility design, and she was recently promoted to her current position of Assistant Project Engineer III in CHA’s Civil Engineering and Landscape Architecture Department. She received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Syracuse University.

Jeffrey Miller, PE

Chantilly, VA – Jeffrey obtained his PE license in the state of Virginia. He joined the firm in 2012 and was recently promoted to Section Manager in CHA’s Electric Distribution Design Department. He received his bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Virginia Technical Institute.

Matthew Mokey, PE

Colonie, NY - Matt obtained his PE license in the state of New York. He joined CHA in 2004 and was recently promoted to a Project Engineer IV in CHA’s Highway and Rail Technical Group. He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Syracuse University.

Bob Schaefer, PE

Rochester, NY – Bob obtained his PE license in the state of New York. He is an Assistant Project Engineer III in CHA’s Aviation Department. Bob joined CHA in 1999 and has 20 years of experience in the design and management of aviation projects for county departments of aviation and medium/small hub airports. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Clarkson University.

Alex Stevens, PE

Norwell, MA – Alex obtained his PE license in the state of Massachusetts. He joined CHA in 2017 and is an Engineer II in the CHA’s Gas Design Department. Alex received his B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, and M.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook University.

Nikolai Terpak, P.Eng.

St. Catharines, ON – Nik obtained his P.Eng. license in the province of Ontario. He joined Gryphon, a CHA Company, in 2014 and is currently an Assistant Project Engineer III in the firm’s High Voltage Electrical Technical Group.

Nicholas Voerg, PE

Colonie, NY – Nick obtained his PE license in the state of New York. He joined CHA in 2015 and has six years of experience performing structural inspections. He was recently promoted to his current position as an Assistant Project Engineer III in CHA’s Transportation Structures Technical Department. He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Cornell University.

Charles “Chuck” Walck, PE

Syracuse, NY – Chuck obtained his PE license in the state of New York. He was recently promoted to Assistant Project Engineer III in CHA’s Mechanical and Energy Department. Chuck has more than five years of experience performing energy assessments. He received his master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Syracuse University.
