Each year Presidents Day signals the start of Engineers Week. Engineers Week is an annual series of events and activities across the country dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.
The theme for Engineers Week 2020 was “Be a Pioneer of Progress.” CHA celebrated companywide with trivia, a Meme Day, office snacks, and an “Introduce a Girl to Engineering" event at its office in Duluth, Georgia. Outside the office, we showed off the people and projects that have made our company a pioneer of progress on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
CHA’s engineers teamed up with the Georgia Department of Transportation and the Columbus Consolidated Government, GA to pioneer improvements to the US 27 at Custer Road Interchange.
The CHA team brought Accelerated Bridge Construction to Rhode Island for the state’s first ever bridge replacement using a “lateral slide” approach, minimizing the impact on traffic.
Using innovative technology, CHA helped the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) renovate its airport with state-of-the-art communication technology improving travel for the hearing impaired.
From aviation and power to water, transportation and infrastructure CHA is proud to have pioneering women leading the way for a more sustainable future. Women strengthen various markets at CHA, paving the way for the next generation of female engineers.
The CHA team is committed to teaching youth about STEM careers! Through programs like Future Cities, Introduce a Girl to Engineering and Career Exploration Days, our team takes a hands-on approach to educating and inspiring the next generation.
