CHA is excited to announce it will provide final design services to rehabilitate and expand an Army National Guard Armory and provide a Drill Hall Shed Addition for the Department of Military and Naval Affairs. CHA previously provided schematic design services for this monumental rehabilitation project.

The 180,000+ square foot multistory facility, located in Jamaica (Queens), New York, will undergo a complete interior modernization and rehabilitation of the building. Repairs are also being made to an exterior masonry wall that is in close proximity to rail tracks operated by the Long Island Railroad. The total construction effort associated with this rehabilitation is $120 million.

This five-year contract is one of largest projects in the firm’s history to be designed and managed by the CHA Commercial & Government Facilities Group.  The CHA team will provide project management, HVAC, and electrical engineering services, along with overall technical quality oversight of multiple subconsultants who will provide architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire protection design.
