14th Annual Capital District Future City Competition

Posted January 14, 2015

The 14th Annual Capital District Future City Competition was held last weekend on January 10th. The event is a chance for 6-8th grade students to work with teachers and engineers to design and build their city of the future. This year, ten CHA employees volunteered their time to plan the event, mentor students, judge entries and help out during the competition. Congratulations to the winner of this regional competition, New Lebanon Jr/Sr High School! The team will be going to Washington, DC next month to compete against teams from across the country.  We would also like to congratulate Richard H. O’Rourke Middle School for winning second place overall and receiving the CHA-sponsored “Best Essay” award.
