Prepare for Takeoff: Nathan Lienhart Presents at 2017 AAAE National Airport Economic Development Conference

CHA Aviation Project Manager, Nathan Lienhart, PE will share best practices with airport executives on how to ready themselves for economic development on April 11th at the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) National Airport Economic Development Conference. His presentation, “Organizing for Airport Economic Development – What are the Considerations for Airport Development Planning,” will explore the necessary preparations for land use and development opportunities at an airport. Kyle Kuebler, Airport Director for Porter County Regional Airport, and Patrick Dooley, Director of Airport Development for the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority will accompany Nathan in his discussion at 9:00 AM on April 11th.

Nathan, Kyle and Patrick will will explain considerations for your facility and community prior to development. Airport executives will learn about the “where” and “what” of development—including zoning, airspace, noise, and land use considerations—as well as the pace of development and site access and infrastructure requirements. Their discussion will be supported by a case study, “In Plane View: A Clear Vision for the Future,” regarding the guiding principles, goals and collaborative effort that defined the successful implementation of land use planning at Porter County Regional Airport in Valparaiso, Indiana.
