CHA Sports prepared a plan for the reconstruction of the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. The renovation included a new 8-lane collegiate track facility, a new synthetic turf football/soccer field, new sports lighting, an additional 1,000 seats, ADA and structural improvements to the existing 4,000 seats, and upgrades to the existing press box facility. Home to the Myrtle Beach Seahawks High School football team, this facility is also the county's premiere track and field venue. Stadium goers now benefit from state-of-the-art accommodations while still enjoying the facility's preserved charm.
